Remodeling

We decided to redo our bathroom over the Memorial Day weekend. Since we only have one, this required moving in with my parents until ours was usable again. Needless to say, remodeling always takes longer than expected and we're finally back home after a week.
Here are the befores of the tile in the shower and on the floor.

Here is the after! We aren't done yet but are so happy with the way it is turning out!

Dave even put in a shelf in the shower.

Swimming

We had a heat wave the past two days so I got a little pool for the kids. They had a blast! They wouldn't even smile at me for the pictures, they were having too much fun.

Piano Recital

Here's my cute piano students (who are all actually family, except for Ethan, whom we will happily adopt!) We hurried home from camping and got unloaded, cleaned up and set up for the recital at our house. It went great! The kids showed off and sounded wonderful!

Camping

We went camping with our friends the Goodmans last weekend. We didn't get much sleep and Will threw up, but it was still fun (although I don't know if the Goodmans will ever go with us again!)

This is Will and Mckenzie when we had the car almost loaded. Will had been so excited for the past two days, we just had to finally get them in the car!

Will and Hallee...they are good friends!

What a view! (I mean the lookout!)
PS. Dave proposed to me on the next lookout:)

This last weekend Dave took Will on the Fathers and Sons outing with the ward. They left Thursday afternoon and came back Saturday afternoon. Dave says they had lots of fun!

Will got to sleep with his daddy in a friend's trailer so they were nice and warm!

Spring Projects

We've been able to finally do a few things that we've wanted to in the yard. We just had a guy come over with a Bobcat and he took out our oleander stumps (17 of them!) Some of them were huge! I put the wagon by them for scale. And since he was at it he also took out the burm (mound of dirt) running diagonally through the center of our yard and put some dirt by the door so irrigation won't come in our house. Our yard is flat! He also dug a hole for our washing machine to drain into, instead of making our yard all muddy. (I hate Mondays, washdays, when Will goes outside. Mud is like a magnet for little boys.) So, even though our yard might not look like much, we are so happy to have it done! Now on to the next project...

Also, for you crafters, I finally made 2 little wooden "m's" for Mckenzie's room. I've been wanting to do that for a while and finally did.

And, last but not least, we have a producing garden for the first time ever! We took out a bunch of desert plants in a spot by our carport and Dave tilled it and put manure and stuff on it. Then we planted some plants and everything died the next day, except for our wonderful squash plant! I just picked 3 today! I also decided to plant a tomato plant in a pot and so far it's doing great.
