Where's Mckenzie?
My baby who's almost 1!
Her little piggies (or antennae).
We (or me) is trying to figure out how to make our house more inviting outside. I want to paint, but want to leave it a light color. And I really want a red door. And a bench that's not camping chairs. We have at least one more season of the vegetable garden in that little plot and then I will put flowers and some greenery there. Any suggestions? For not a ton of money?
Allison is getting braver about standing up and walking with things. I've found her actually pushing this shopping cart sometimes, although I didn't get it on camera. She's almost walking!

I've seen a lot of before/after pictures of how to increase a house's curb appeal. The thing I notice most from the after pictures is the adding of plants/shrubs around the base of the house. Maybe something around the windows too, like shutters or some kind of border/trim of another color to make them "pop." Maybe another big tree in the front with a circle of wood chips or rocks or flower bed around the trunk. Just some ideas.
Wow, it is amazing how big kids get even within a month! I can't believe Kenzi is almost walking! That is just crazy. We miss you guys! Good luck on the home improvement projects. Maybe you can have Dad and Dave make you a bench for the front... maybe one that rocks or something. =)
Wow! I totally meant Allison! Sorry about that
I'm always a fan of flowers to help things out, and I'm so cheap that I always start mine from seed. I don't think that I have good suggestions for Arizona though. I think the heat would kill everything that I'm familiar with. Good luck!
well, whatever you figure out to make your house look cuter, we'll probably copy you! ha ha!
that's an awesome toy shopping cart. looks like fun!
magi & i are both impressed by will's tree climbing skills! well done, Will! Magi says, "Will is a good climber!"
I think that it needs more color. I still say go beige and put a reddish trim and definitely do a red door. Maybe you could find some thin shutters to do red around the window on the right and put some sort of tall plant to the left of the window (right of the front door)- maybe something that climbs on a cute trellis or something.
Sometimes you can find cute benches at Home Depot or somewhere like that for not too much $$ and you could find a wood one and paint it reddish like the trim and it would stand out. Or just stain it darker so that it stands out against your lighter house.
OK, where are these ideas coming from? I've never done much to my house (luckily that stuff was already done when we moved in....)
See you again soon!
